"Shiner" A real good mate of mine, if I have got the right one. Both of us "Stoker PO's on HMS Superb's East Indies commission in 56 to 57. He helped me out with a lot of things as I was a very green Petty Officer on one occasion I was suffering with the "trots" and he did my watch for me. We were in the Red Sea on our way to Bahrein. Went ashore with him many times and "enjoyed" ourselves. I remember he liked taking pictures. Later he came to my home and I was very sad when I tried to phone him and was told he had gone to the Stoker PO's rest home. A real nice man always. Clive Godley. AKA. Godders
